Welcome to the module: “Students’ evaluation & feedback in the online environment”. During this module, we will walk you through the process of conducting assessment methods in the online environment that support student learning. We will not focus on what activities to propose in your online classes; we have another module about instructional design. Instead, we will focus on how you can implement assessment to help your students learn.
If you’re interested in how you can make use of assessment to support student learning and improve your own teaching, this course is just for you. Through theory capsules, tips, do’s and don’ts, diverse strategies, practical examples and reflection exercises, we will focus on how to make use of assessment for learning.
To do so, we will focus on the meaning of assessment for learning, how to give feedback, how to set the right conditions for feedback, how to help students make use of feedback, and how to encourage everyone’s participation in assessment activities. And, of course, how all of this can be supported in an online learning environment.
This training is a result of the combination of an extensive research of materials, as well as the experience of an international team of teacher trainers, after identifying what teachers want and need to know about assessment and feedback.
You have just enrolled in a journey that will help you truly understand the meaning of assessment, and how you can use assessment to help your students learn and improve.
