Keep in touch with Parents/Caregivers and Therapists- Internet

WHY?

  • A useful way to be in touch with caregivers/parents is through the internet.
  • Having WhatsApp Group, Messenger Groups or Shared Documents through e-mails would help you analyze the progress of the child and also see if there are changes in behavior and/or mood.
  • Internet communication can help you to be prepared for the interaction with this student in a personalized way. Also, this strategy develops the quality of the relationship between all the people involved.

***before applying these techniques do not forget to sign an informed consent with parents

HOW?

1.Day to day update

  • let the parents and therapist know what the student with ASD did in class (i.e. Messenger Group).
  1. Problem behavior
  • in case you have a difficult situation in class with a student with ASD, record and send the video on the group and ask for advice from the therapist/parents.
